Gilman International Scholarship
Awards of up to $5,000 to support U.S. citizen undergraduates receiving Pell Grant funding. Students studying in Critical Need Language countries may receive an additional $3,000 supplement for a total possible award of $8,000. Applicants must study abroad for a minimum of three weeks.

The Gilman-McCain Scholarship Program, funded by the U.S. Dept. of State, provides support for undergraduate child dependents of active duty military member(s) to study or intern abroad. In order to be eligible, applicants must be U.S. citizens receiving any type of Title IV federal financial aid and the study abroad program must last at least three weeks.
Application Deadlines:
Spring & Summer programs: October (application opens in mid-August)
Fall & Spring programs: August (application opens in mid-January)
Award: $5000
Provides funding opportunities for U.S. citizen undergraduates to study less commonly taught languages in world regions critical to U.S. interests, and underrepresented in study abroad. Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are excluded.
Boren Scholars are highly motivated individuals who wish to work in the federal national security arena. In exchange for funding, Boren Scholars commit to working in the federal government for at least one year after graduation.
Maximum scholarship awards are:
Up to $8,000 for a summer program (STEM majors only; 8-11 weeks)
Up to $12,500 for a semester (12 weeks minimum)

Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) Scholarship
FEA has several different study abroad scholarships to support undergraduate students (U.S. citizens & permanent residents) participating in abroad programs for a minimum of 4 weeks. As an applicant to FEA, you are considered for all of the scholarships you meet the criteria for. FEA gives preference to students with demonstrated financial need, and strongly encourages students to apply who represent a group that is traditionally underrepresented in education abroad (first-generation, minority, LGBTQ students, etc.).
Funding Amounts: FEA awards scholarships of up to $5,000 for students who plan to study abroad during the fall or spring semester. For students studying abroad in the summer, scholarship amounts are prorated by number of weeks in-country (minimum of $1,250).

Diverse International Women of Color (DIWC) Scholarship
The Diverse International Women Of Color (DIWC) Study Abroad Scholarship is intended to assist women of color who are exceptional in their studies and in need of financial assistance to study abroad.
DIWC awards $500 scholarships to women of color who have been accepted to an in-person study abroad program.

Tortuga Study Abroad Scholarship
Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and has applied to/been accepted into a study abroad program for the fall or spring semester only.
Funding Amount: $1,000 & a travel backpack

Fall programs: April 15
Phi Kappa Phi Study Abroad Grants
You are eligible to apply if you are a Phi Kappa Phi member and you have a cumulative GPA of a 3.75 or higher. One-hundred twenty-five $1,000 grants are awarded each year.
